  • Facilitate therapeutic enrichment activities on adult and adolescent campuses/programs.
  • Manage all campus ground maintenance and contracts.
  • Support the treatment and recovery of clients at ADULT and ADOL programs/campuses.
  • Identify urgent issues and improve services in collaboration with clinical staff.
  • Communicate with other clinical staff regarding client issues.
  • Provide primary counselors with information about client progress.
  • Provide coordination for the Horticulture Program at the Adult and Adolescent programs.
  • Facilitate Horticulture Therapy Groups.
  • Deliver services with the help of community volunteers.
  • Network with organizations and showcase client work.
  • Managing the horticulture budget, greenhouse, pond, and garden maintenance.
  • Supervise and work with community volunteers and interns.
  • Managing Work Adjustment positions in adjunct programs.
  • Supervise Head Gardener and Landscape company.
  • Oversee the landscape company with support from the Head Gardener.
  • Inform the Operations Director of ground maintenance needs.
  • Attend and report on landscape, gardens, ground, and greenhouse in monthly Safety committee meetings.
  • Learn how to drive a bus or van at Skyland Trail.
  • PM Maintains the upkeep of all garden areas at multiple campuses.
  • Notes and attendance should be documented.
  • Plan and implement annual events.
  • Establish relationships with local garden clubs, nurseries, and nature preserves.
  • Comply with facility policies and accreditation standards.

Competencies:

  • Supervise client safety and engagement during community outings, activities/lessons, equipment use, and exercises.
  • In the electronic health record, complete documentation in a timely manner.
  • Represent Adjunctive Therapies in clinical treatment meetings by observing, listening, and sharing insights from the client.
  • Mentor and support Adjunctive Therapy interns.
  • Support client needs and potential crises.
